Out And About

Castara is a small fishing village of 500 inhabitants. It isn't touristy - you will be living amongst the locals. Backed by the oldest protected rainforest in the Western Hemisphere, the village residents support themselves with a combination of fishing, tourism and environmental work. The beach is only a few minutes walk down a winding footpath. The sea in the bay offers excellent bathing and snorkelling. The village is a four minute walk down the road. Pick up home made bread on Wednesdays and Saturdays, reserve a table for the evening at Marguarite's excellent restaurant, or order a take away, or collect provisions from the stores. The shops are simple, the people are delightful, and the mangoes are plentiful.

Plantation Beach Villas , Stonehaven Bay

Beautiful pink gingerbread trim villas - 6 of them discreetly placed by the beach, with a pool and bar, in lush, managed gardens, and stunningly put together.

Facilities

Each villa has 3 double bedrooms all with big ensuite bathrooms - the showers are big enough for a party. Small details are provided throughout - hairdryers, mosquito coils, fluffy towels. Each villa also has a dedicated attendant who comes in every day for 5 hours to clean, wash clothes and is available to cook or baby-sit. The birds here are amazing, and the beach, just yards away, is where the turtles come to lay their eggs. Roll out beds and cots available for children at no extra cost. The pool and beach can be seen from the villas balconies. Cook available at extra cost. Really beautiful villas with superb staffing. Some of the island's best restaurants are a walk away.

Facilities

Sea Breeze is in one of the most sought after locations on the island with amazing views of the Atlantic. A wide verandah along two sides of the house provides a scenic 180° view of the ocean. Almost everything in the villa is new including furniture, beds and white goods. There's a well maintained pool and jacuzzi. This villa has six air-conditioned bedrooms and six bathrooms, with accommodation for up to ten people. For flexibility and privacy the villa is built on two main levels, an upper and a pool level, with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on each. Both have private entrances so if you book as a group or with friends, you can have your own bit of space if need be. On the upper floor is a fully equipped kitchen, living area with windowed sliding doors that open onto the verandah making one large and breezy living space which is fabulous in the tropical heat. There's also a large patio for sunbathing by the pool and al fresco dining in the evening. The lower level has three bedrooms, a small kitchen and pretty living room with French windows opening out onto the pool area.

Bacolet was the setting used for the film 'Swiss Family Robinson'. The privately owned villa sits in an acre of lush tropical gardens, with Caribbean plants and fruit trees. In season, help yourself to the mangoes and limes, banana, avocado and grapefruits. There's cable TV and wireless broadband internet. Secluded beaches are a short stroll away. A maid will take care of the housekeeping and is available to prepare meals by arrangement. Yellow Bird Villa , Coral Sea Villas, Bon Accord

A terrific family accommodation in a Tobago village setting, and close to beaches and amentities. This villa caters brilliantly for families with small children.

Facilities

This is a lovely villa, personally owned by a British couple so containing many extras.  There are 3 double bedrooms, all with en suite bathrooms, air-conditioning and ceiling fans.The master bedroom has a king size double, the other two have twin beds. In the space between the 2 bedrooms on the first floor, there are 2 futons in an area served by a/c and a fan.Downstairs there is a large open plan living room and the kitchen is well equipped with American fridge, microwave, dishwasher and stove. There's enough crockery for 6 adults and 2 children.

Cable TV x 2, washing and drying machines, there are  6 sunloungers for pool use plus 6 dining chairs for outside use.There's a full size wooden dining table and 8 chairs. High chair for child. 4 Adult bikes. Child gate across the stairs. Baby listening device and DVD (American). 

A housekeeper visits for 2 hours each day except Sundays to make beds and generally help with the house.The living room has a small cable TV (there is a large TV upstairs) and a stereo/ CD player with plenty of comfortable seating. Off this, in the under-croft, is the dining table for 8 people, together with a gas BBQ.

There is a washing machine and tumble dyer in the laundry room. Outside by the pool there is another table and chairs with a large sun umbrella for al fresco dining.The Jacuzzi and swimming pool are cared for by pool attendants 3 times a week. Children are catered for with high chair, Graco cot and their own crockery, at no extra cost.What more could you ask for!!

Special Features

Yellow Bird is part of a small development of similar villas between the main road and the Bon Accord Lagoon, which is a government protected 'nature' reserve. The villa is located in a quiet, private road. 

The house is particularly suited to wheelchair users  as the downstairs has no steps from the front door to the pool and around the downstairs living area. The downstairs doors are adapted for wheelchair access.

Out And About

Set in a tranquil spot, with beaches and restaurants close by, the famous Pigeon Point beach is just a only 5 minute cycle ride away and the local supermarket, a 10 minute drive, with many good restaurants within walking distance.

The rear garden, containing the swimming pool, backs onto the Mangroves lining the Lagoon. The villa is ideally located in a quiet private road to ensure your holiday is a peaceful and relaxing.

The villa is less than a 10 minute taxi drive from the airport. Or the owners can arrange for you to be met at the airport with a hire car and escort guide to deliver you staright to the villa.
